Singles are not going to work. The lack of power in the Indian batting lineup shows up again. Irfan may have his faults, but at least he can strike the ball hard. Now they're forced to strike against McGrath and a recovered Lee.

The word is out: Raina can't hit. He reminded me a lot of Parthiv Patel, Rohan Gavaskar and Mohammed Kaif– all three of them had to hit a lot of shots in their positions and none of them looked the part.

The next match they play should have him batting at four and nowhere else.
