Wheels falling off big time; have to give Oz some credit tho. Johnson & Watson have both bowled very well.

Yardy maybe looking a tad short of the requisite class at the highest level too, despite the smeller he got. Wasn't timing the ball at all.
Doesn't help that he's batting a couple of places too high. I suppose there was a smidgeon of sense in playing him as a sort of pinch-blocker to protect KP from the new ball against India, but why on earth promote him today? Simply clogged up the innings and may well have had a lot to do with Strauss's dismissal.

One day, Fletcher should be forced to write a book explaining his thinking about the oneday lineup. Should be a hoot.

As for Fred batting where he was, Collingwood in front of him I can understand but really there arent too many other options by the look of it.
Dalrymple could man four IMO.

.. who missed his opportunity big time 12 months ago. And apparently he makes Geraint Jones look like Bob Taylor keeping-wise, which isn't encouraging.

Incidentally, I wonder what KP's oneday average is since the SA tour? He increasingly looks at sea against Anyone Who's Any Good, and you do wonder if 12 months of showboating has taken its toll.

I think it's hillarious the way we played him as a specialist bat in India and now we've been reduced to Read and he's not even in the squad.

And another one, Johnson picks up Harmison. What in the world is going on with England!?

Matt Prior hasn't exactly set the world alight with the bat in international cricket... or domestic one-day cricket, for that matter.

Doesn't matter what Read has done. You just said Prior is the wicketkeeper who can bat, therefore the performance of Read is inconsequential to my above comment.

tbf I wouldn't hold it against Harmy after what's gone before. Unforgiveably, England probably won't even last 50 overs now - after 80 for 0, ffs.

James "walking wicket" Anderson looking rather good here. Playing a handy knock in the context of the game.
He had a Test average of 43 after 7 games.

If we can get to 200 () it might make it 90-10 in Australia's favour. Good times.
