It seems the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan is pretty open. Have you seen any Pakistan players Afghanistan should be interested in?I said it before but given the India-Nepal border is open, Ranji Trophy teams would be absolutely mad not to look at Paras Khadka; he's a class bat. For all I know they already have and he's not interested but I'd be highly surprised if he couldn't cut it in Indian domestic cricket.
Samiullah Shenwari and Mohammed Nabi for sure. Hard hitters of the ball and almost full time spinners. Ajmal with two of them instead of Hafeez and Afridi, looks very stable. On the other hand India would love to have two Zadrans and Hamid Hassan. It seems the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan is pretty open. Shakib is all over Atkinson like a cheap suit, but Irfan has got this.Reckon they'll fall short by a bit. Shame.
The spinners (even with the dew) should easily wrap this up. Still though, good effort by honkers. Would've loved to have seen Nepal get through just to stick it up this pretty **** Bangladesh team, even if it meant having to listen to everyone cry about how they ruined the tournament.
If you think about it, this lot of Associates are doing better job against the full members than Canada/Scotland/Holland were in 2006/7 when they first got ODI status. It'll be interesting to see if Nepal and HK have any depth or get any matches against the other Asian teams.Shakib is all over Atkinson like a cheap suit, but Irfan has got this.
Edit: Amazing shot!
Their bowling has impressed, they just need to improve their fielding and find some decent batsmen. It'll be interesting to see if Nepal and HK have any depth or get any matches against the other Asian teams.
