Aussies have a new sponsor "FLY EMIRATES" so is this only for the world cup or have Cricket Australia called of their sponsorship deal with TRAVELEX.
Just for the WC... they were forced to swap from travelex... something about it clashing with one of the ICC official sponsers, some bank or other.

Don't kid your self .... you guy's are not nearly important enough to be hated. Actually quite the opposite I think. Holland more aptly increases the "humor" factor.

Symo set for 2nd Game

"It's unlikely but I won't rule it out," Kountouris said.

"The 24th was what we were roughly looking at.

"If he happens to get ahead of time, we won't discount that.

"He is making good progress. He is meeting all the rehab goals we have set, so he is on target to what we expected.

"We haven't had any setbacks."

Recently named in Australia's best limited-overes team of all time, the Queenslander's tight spin bowling will privide a major help on Caribbean pitches resembling those seen on the Indian subcontinent.

really agree with the last statement..also his fielding.. saves a lot of runs... i just hope when he comes back he isnt that bad....

but the title is misleading

International Coach
As Symo said earlier"he is a great healer"and he fully expects to play on Mar 24 v/s SA, but its great to hear his recovery is going ahead of schedule, so a big thumbs up to both Symo and Alex kountouris.

But even if he is fit for the 2nd game i would not take a risk by playing Symo against Netherlands and rather wait till the South African game to play him in the XI.

Anyways Haydos's is also fit now to play in Australia's 1st game.

Watson I think would be a better option than Haydos as it could give us a long batting line up and long bowling line up which could be handy in the Windies.

Can't see why if Ponting & the management do all agree that Watson batting ability is better suited up the order why are they considering sending him back down to #7 when Hayden returns to open. I'm sure they would have thought have batting him in the top 4 at least, but they seem negligent to want to do so.

But on the other hand, maybe it is time Watson adapts himself to bat low down the order, he's a strong bloke & should be able to a destructive batsman in the late overs in the windies.

I thought a long batting and bowling line up would be handy in any environment? A quality all rounder is obvioulsy extremely useful however the question must be asked is Watson good enough to the job of the specialist batsmen or bowler he is replacing?

"Glenn McGrath and I opened the bowling together in a possibles-probables game at Sydney University. I chatted to him before that game, because he was a boy from the bush as well who had turned up in Sydney and lived for a year or two in a caravan. He was a real gentleman and he gave me some insoles when I told him I had struggled with shin splints."
