congrats to Pakistan and India on their victories today. Taking nothing away from India, i have to say that the W.Indies performance was once of the most abject performances i have sen in a long time..was it just me or did they appear to be not even trying to win this match?I couldn't believe that when India still needed about 15 runs, everyone was still on the boundaries allowing easy singles to be picked off..also the bowling line up picked today by them lacked any pace or teeth..really poor and i feel like i just wasted two hours of my life watching that..Also i got really bored with teh Kohli - love-a-thon form the Indian commentators..yes i agree he is a a very good player but the hero worship coming from all of the indian commentators made me really think about hitting the mute button..::puke:

Yeah I agree. India bowled very well but the WI were just in "wtf mode". Just a very confusing innings.

Good win for India yesterday and a few comments from my side would be:

1) India bolwed really well, but it seemed weird when Bhuvi who had bowled beautifully and given just 3 runs in 3 overs, didn't get to bowl the last over. Instead we had Jadeja, the most expensive bowler of the day going for it, and surprise surprise he gave away 20 runs. Didn't matter yesterday, but in another match ....?

2) Why in god's name is Yuvraj Singh being picked? No, seriously. Cancer survivor, WC MOTS etc. He is so useless now. Send him away. Doesn't score runs, scores them slowly, drops catches, and we don't need him as a bowler. So just get Rahane in to open already !!!!

3) Put Rohit in at number 4. Would do him a world of good. Plus Rahane does well for RR at the opening slot.

4) For the Windies, they have to increase their tempo and pace. Very sad attitude.

Honestly, and I don't even blame the commentators' fawning because of this, Kohli was the only batsman from either side (maybe Simmons a bit as well) who actually looked exciting in any manner at all.

Buckle up guys!

I don't mind persisting with Yuvi for a while. Chances are he's past it now, but if he does have something left to give and can prove it over the next few games, he'll be twice the player for India in the ODI WC than Rahane. Dhoni needs his bowling options more than he needs a gun fielder.

Well, we already have 5 bowlers + Raina (and Kohli if need be). Yuvraj is India's equivalent of Pakistan picking Shoaib Malik. Don't like Rahane, fine ! I am sure there is some other youngster we could be giving chances to.

Whatever it takes!!!
I think India should start looking at Rohit as a #4 for all formats of the game.. I would have Rahane open with Dhawan for the OD formats and then have Pujara open with Dhawan for Tests. This way, you will have 3 of the top 4 being the same in all formats of the game. And Rahane can bat at 5 in tests and Raina can come in for Pujara for the ODs. Retain Dhoni at 6, try Sir Jadeja at 7 and then pick your 4 best bowlers based on format/conditions/fitness.

Boundary or a single? Confusion over winning runs continues in World T20 | Sportskeeda

Whats this all about? Idiotic rule. What happens if we get knocked out on NRR?
More idiotic than the rule is the fact that in both cases the batsmen didn't complete the run so even if one went by the rule it should have been a boundary in both cases. There's every chance this group will end up as a 3 way tie - Pak beat WI and Bangladesh, India beat Bangladesh and lose to Australia; Australia beat India, Bangladesh and West Indies. In fact all those are 'likely' results (if there is such a thing in T20).

That said, India also have themselves to blame for being daft and not chasing 130 overs in quick time. You really can't take nigh on 20 overs to chase 130 with 7 wickets left! They were knocked out because of a poor NRR last time despite winning 4/5 matches, you'd think they'd have learnt their lesson by now. Absolutely pathetic innings from Yuvraj in the last game, deserves the boot.

Australia is going to need to improve massively to beat India in these conditions. Lack of ability against spin and playing a couple of octogenarians in the field doesn't help.

Roles reversed now compared to previous match vs India. Smith going at run a ball while Gayle scores at less than 50.

WI such a confusing team at the moment. I mean they still have a platform to go now but still.
