dont understand what miller was doing throwing his arms up like that
and kulasekera in the 19thfantastic bowling by malinga
The saffer quicks would have got more out of a bouncier deck though, cos they rely more on bounce and pace while the Lankan quicks are generally more about yorkers.do you sincerely believe our pacers are better than the lankans in limitwd overs cricket?
Well that has not helped our pacers for a very long time. it means very little int20 cricket IMHO.The saffer quicks would have got more out of a bouncier deck though, cos they rely more on bounce and pace while the Lankan quicks are generally more about yorkers.
Surely last tournament for Miller to make an impression. Has he actually won a game for South Africa chasing? Robbie P as a specialist batsman makes more sense than Miller.dont understand what miller was doing throwing his arms up like that
Yes but especially at the death the Sri Lankans were struggling to cope with the bounce and pace. The point was that this pitch played to the saffers strengths more than ours, we wanted turn and low bounce to make our trundlers and spinners hard to get away, but they weren't assisted by the hardness of the pitch, Steyn, Morkel and Tsosobe were helped, particularly because the Sri Lankans don't play pace and bounce all that well. Tahir bowled well by varying his pace and length, like Sachi did for us, those kinds of tactics work on any pitch but someone like Mendis doesn't do that kind of thing as well as those twoTahir was also our best bowler on this "grassy" pitch
yeah senanay bowled quite while. but kulesekaras innings was top. deserves motmReally good game. I didn’t think Sri Lanka won because of Malinga, think the key was their three trundlers not going for many. Key wicket was Albie, if that went for six, he would have had two more balls against Mendis and you fancy the game would be pretty much won in that over.
recently when our bowlers have had bounce to work with they bowl ****ty lengths. Sri lanka bowled well I think. we were always in trouble when we were more than ten runs behind after 6 overs. Without sri lanka even using much of their "best" bowlers.Yes but especially at the death the Sri Lankans were struggling to cope with the bounce and pace. Yeah that was your main problem, you needed to get ahead of the game while we tried to get overs out of Kula, Matthews and Thisara, getting a big hitter up the order would have helped as you saidrecently when our bowlers have had bounce to work with they bowl ****ty lengths.
