miandad was a champion with the tail. would actually shout at the point of delivery whether it was swinging in (andhar) or out (bahar) to save the tailender the trouble of reading the bowler's hand. but wont mind border winning this one. he was one of the most inspirational cricketers of all time. and his epic knocks with the tail - saving the 85-86 melbourne test against india comes to mind as well as that partnership with jeff thomson a few years before that took his team within three runs of an ashes win - certainly make him a worthy winner of this title.

Steve Waugh. Took the novel approach of actually trusting them with some strike. Lee, McGrath, Gillespie and Fleming all improved their batting significantly while playing alongside Waugh and I reckon alot of that can be put down to his faith and tutoring.
