Yeah I don't diffrentiate between modern players and olders, I'll be the first to admit there is both recency bias AND nostalgia in mix at times but I don't think the site as a whole hates or underrates current players, moreso cautious with them.

Underwood easy. People don't realize, he was a fingerspinner with relative resilience to conditions. Unlike others on this list usually ranked above him.

Did it always piss anyone else off that John Emburey was in the Stick Cricket All Star team?

Wilfred Rhodes, Jim Laker, John Wardle, Derek Underwood, Graeme Swann, Tony Lock, Tich Freeman, Colin Blythe among the good ones.

among the bad English spinners, even people like Panesar and Emburey are better than Moeen.
Verity? He is the second best English spinner.

It was a web game, quite big in the mid to late 00’s. Transitioned to a mobile game (apparently successful but I never got into it) and also has other sports e.g Stick Tennis.

I don’t remember the exact makeup of their “All Star XI”, but I know it included Bradman, Tendulkar, Sobers, Lillee, Hadlee Warne and John ****ing Emburey.
