Grade Cricket Season XIV

Good win for the Titans. Happy to make runs and take wickets. Would have liked to get a century though.

(y) cheers Smith. Bland performance from teh Seahawks though.

EDIT: Out of interest, is there any point in the grade season where Grade & Devvers co-incide when it comes to format? It just seems a little counter-productive having people playing just the one format of cricket for large parts of the season. How are players (like myself) who are in the first team for one format, yet not the other, supposed to be able to push for a place in the team if they're only playing one of either FC or OD cricket?

2 good matches for myself, some good runs in the OD match, and 2 good hauls in either innings of the FC match, glad to see I've got some form back.

Haha, opening the bowling as a spinner, good fun, though batted down at 7, when have been batting at 4 (and doing well) in grade. REckon my form in grade and Yankee league last year suggests i should be in the top 5 at this level (Dev league only had 14 matches so not best indicator)

Not entirely sure what I am playing at, scoring runs and all this nonsense, I'll no doubt be back to my old duck making ways before too long :ph34r:

It is intended to do so about half the time - to get some variation. The original reason for changing was that guys only played grade in one format. I haven't checked whether it actually does so, but would expect it to unless we've been very unlucky with random numbers.

I don't really control where you bat, especially in ITC. If there's a way to control it without simming all the games properly, I'm all ears.
Options --> Game Options

Then tick:

* Pick Computer Controlled Teams
* Pick Teams in Batting Order

I should have batting stats up in an hour or two as well, FTR. Bowling stats will be later on.

I would have thought that making sure all players got an opportunity to prove themselves in both forms of the game should be the first priority when it comes to dealing with the grade schedule. Even if that means only playing 1 grade format, at least they get the opportunity play both formats, as opposed to spending half the season playing just the one (kind of like I'm currently doing).

In regards to this, I just batted every CW player as high as I could in the OD unless they're a certain specialist in a position (ie. if someone like Butler played I'd probably have him at 4). May as well give everyone a crack, especially the bowlers.

That's cool, but can Hutchinson and Pimpkins not open in any form for the remaining rounds? (ditto any other Colts batsman who isn't an opener, which I think is just Rai and Fitzsimmons)

Would appreciate it :)
