Greater Robbham de Grooters v Davistow Darters
at CW Bar Ground
Scorecard

David Kennett finally found form with six for 14 at the Bar Ground, giving Davistow the edge in a close encounter. Earlier, a gritty batting effort and an awful top order collapse had given Davistow a lead of 93 on first innings, making victory almost inevitable. However, at 22 for four, de Grooters had the Darters on the brink; Harry Warwick bludgeoned 74 to lead his side to a solid target, before Kennett took apart the lower order.

Ball By Ball
Gofftown made the most of a solid start, where Chris Dwyer hammered fifteen fours in 60 balls as he made his merry way to 98. Borcich rapped out the tail, but was otherwise ineffective, while Gaurav Nayak will have nightmares about his seven overs which went for 56. In reply, Edfield crawled to 139, with Greg Thomas taking a five-for; Borcich got seven wickets in the second innings, but no Edfield batsman could stick around, and Dwyer got four for 44 to bowl Edfield out for 151.

Garven Island Sharks v Stedingham Jets
at Clowich Stadium
Scorecard
Ball By Ball
Stedingham prevailed in a very competitive fixture at Clowich, where Andrew Cloete had been specially flown in after his 98 in the Dev League. However, it was Bryce Cunningham who stole the limelight in the first innings, coming to the wicket at 58 for five. He smashed eight fours and a six in his 94, and helped take the Sharks past 150, before crucial runs from Richards and Rose got them to 237. A twelve-run first innings lead followed, which would have been much less but for the ninth-wicket stand of 54 between Petherick and Andy Cameron, before the Jets bowled their opponents out for 208. Set 222 to win in a little less than a day, they crashed to 17 for three, before Reddlapalli set them on target again. Wickets from Malone brought them into a pickle, but at 219 for seven and with James Stedman on 89 not out, things looked safe. Then two wickets fell in five balls, but Cameron kept his nerve and hit the winning two off Richards.

Campsfield Braves v Twybridge Titans
at Camps Field
Scorecard
Ball By Ball
Twybridge looked a weak side as only Law and Thompson of their professionals turned up, and Thompson didn't do much with the ball as Blackman had a field day in Camps Field. However, Cotterill and White helped take Campsfield apart, before Mike Wilson's six wickets settled the matter. Campsfield chose not to enforce the follow on, grinding them into the ground for a comprehensive victory.
