Not Terrible
Cricket should bring in proper injury substitutes covering the player roles of the injured player. A RHB who doesn't bowl is covered by a RHB reserve (who even if he can bowl can't), a Wrist Spinner can only be covered by another wrist spinner.

As long as sides didn't actually benefit from injuries but were still able to play on without being put in the horrendous position of 10 down it'd benefit the game.

I'd also suggest that the reserve can only come on in the following innings though. You wouldn't want Inzi 63* (127) Retired hurt (Cramps/Fat Bastard) and Mohammad Subitar coming on and continuing that particular innings.

The possibility of having a player seriously injure themselves on the first day of a Test match and playing a man down for the rest of the game just seems like some kind of mistake in the game. There should be some fair way to cover it.

Heh, I just had thoughts of Inzi and Ranatunga batting together. That would be epic.
