I think the sensible points have already been covered, but I'd like to point out the gap that exists between the two in team encouragement/sledging. Gilly never quite captured the same relaxed drone that Heals had with his 'bowled Shane', and I think its shown in the team's performances! :)

Rahul Dravid should keep for India. Then he'd be the best wicketkeeper-batsman in the world. And he did keep in ODI's for a while, so he can do it. :)

Its one of the things that **** me on this board. People don't even point out Gilly's flaws either, they just say "he's only a mediocre keeper" with minimal to no evidence. As you said, its like he's automatically not a good keeper because he's such a good batsman.
Absolutely sums it up.

It's like, because he's such a good batsman, people use that against him - ie. he's good enough to hold down a place with the bat, so therefore he must be sub-standard with the gloves.
8-)

Healy made his fair share of mistakes too.

So you want them to drop Dhoni, do you? :)
I don't think he is test class. And yea, I advocated dropping hima long time ago for the shots at mumbai. But his keeping has improved, which is more important to me than batting, so I think I can put up with him for the South Africa series. We'll see after that.

Lets just jay for the sake of argument that Dhoni has as much batting talent as Adam Gilchrist. Even if hes crap with the gloves, why would you want to drop him. You've already said hes improved with the gloves, and we know what he can do with the bat, so why drop a guy with as much potential as him especially when noone else has shown the capability to be successful at the international level?

I'd have Tresco Keep for England to allow Bell, Collingwood, Pietersen, Flintoff all to form a formidable middle order :p
