Because you are ****.Why all the examples I am remembering are ****?? The Tyson v Paul match, Rights vs BJK, Rocky V..... I am sure I can remember a good one soon.
Just brilliant, purely BrilliantHeadley was mostly an off side player, so Grimmett figured out how to bowl to him. He started to target Headley's leg stump; and Headley hardly scored any run in the first two tests. So, Headley practiced the on drive and scored a hundred in the 3rd test.
After the end of the series, Grimmett himself said that Headley was the best onside player he had ever seen.
Clearly Closer to Lara, Viv and Sobers than the Ws imo.how does Headley stack up to the 3 Ws?
actually....Clearly Closer to Lara, Viv and Sobers than the Ws imo.
I think then all 3 at once will score more than Headley in 99.94% situations.actually....
I meant all three at once.
coming to think the Ws are about Compton/May/Williamson level while Headley is about Hammond level in abilityI think then all 3 at once will score more than Headley in 99.94% situations.
Gooch>(Weekes+Walcott+Worrell)^(Headley)I think then all 3 at once will score more than Headley in 99.94% situations.
ngl even I don't have Gooch above WorrellGooch>(Weekes+Walcott+Worrell)^(Headley)
Williamson>Weekes>Compton>Walcott>May/Worrell imo.coming to think the Ws are about Compton/May/Williamson level while Headley is about Hammond level in ability
(Nobody does, just play along)ngl even I don't have Gooch above Worrell
you underrate May tbh.Williamson>Weekes>Compton>Walcott>May/Worrell imo.
All are pretty close and switching any two of them shouldn't hurt.
I don't think I'm the only one.you underrate May tbh
That's the thing, he was begining to adapt to the bowlers he was facing and improving as the tour progressed. At the time of the war he was truly entering his peak and getting into his stride.Headley probably takes this one. Chappell was better against pace, Headley was better allround. He adapted to Grimmett and Ironmonger pretty quick after failures in first few matches. That probably shows his talent. Grimmett and Ironmonger would have levels and levels above anything he would have ever faced in Caribbean.
It would have been interesting to have read about him and O’Reilly battle out.
This I didn't know or completely forgot.Headley's last FC match has him making a stand as an opener against Frank Tyson, defintiely strong against pace.
Insane honestly.I don't think I'm the only one.
Actually you know what, I rate May significantly higher than general CW consensus. iirc May was ranked at 42 in the batsman's poll. I'm pretty sure I'd rate him at least in the top 35.
Think Worrell is the most underrated of the WWWs.ngl even I don't have Gooch above Worrell
I vote for him over Kohli, even if I consider him inferior to Weekes and Walcott.Think Worrell is the most underrated of the WWWs.
