And it would go to a coin toss and there'd be a coin toss to decide who should call because that person coudn't get it wrong because that we be a mistake(repeats until Richard gives in :P)

Precisely - there are mistakes and there are very poor mistakes.
Dropping a catch is the worst mistake to make in cricket - far worse a mistake than bowling a Half-Volley or nicking that lovely-looking wideish ball that turns-out to be a beautiful late away-swinger.

Presuming that last "we" was supposed to be "would" - no, guessing wrongly is not a mistake.
