Never in doubt, thought Russell would of been closer after the safety car with the fresh softs, but was lucky it wasn't 2 more laps or think Lando makes that a 1-2.

Excellent drive for Oscar though, be very interesting next week.

Think they had been used briefly in quali at least, they definitely weren’t fresh.

He was let off I think.

Pretty comfortable from Piastri today. Credible performance from Tsunoda too. Not far behind Max, who will probably be on the phone to Merc soon.

Russell low key on for the WDC if the McLarens keep taking points off each other, which will make his sacking for Verstappen quite funny.

Lawsons penalties were ehhhh...but also stop going long ffs. Kid looked great once at COTA doing it and now every ****ing race stays out for months and wonders why he gets undercut after battling with better cars on his old tyres. You're in a mid car bro, you can't just blaze through the field given the aero development conclusion of this rule set. Dive bomb like Maldonado and park it on the apex like Trulli.

Seems like Norris is the slightly faster driver, except in that final 10 mins of qualifying when he's having brain fades. And on some of these circuits, it's utterly key. Should be an interesting season.....and we haven't been able to say that for a while.

Thought Albon might’ve wriggled back for a point too, but the soft tyre blokes were all in a train.

Surprisingly credible performance for Ocon too (he’s still a moron)

rip Alonso and Aston Martin in general.

Also great stuff from Gasly, shame he couldn’t keep Max behind on the last lap, great race for him tho.

Speaking of Max, this is the maximisation of a bad day. Even with the hard tyre fumble and them stopping before the SC he managed to snag 6th. Underrated quality drive from him.

Idk Piastri seemed faster in Japan in the race too I thought. And obviously China.

Its very very even between them.

I think they suit different circuits.

I'm not conyMcLaren are dominant enough to have two cars competing for the WDC all season. They're going to have to pick one of them at some point or they'll open the door to someone else.

I can honestly see the teammates self imploding by focusing on each other and letting Russell or Max sneak it away

Rosberg beat two multiple championship winning teammates.

Norris hasn’t even beat a teammate with one championship!
Yeah, but pretty much everything that could go wrong for Hamilton did that season and Rosberg knew it (and it was a 2 car Season). That he retired immediately after showed he knew he could never get this lucky again.

Norris is leading the standings despite not being at his best in qualifying, if he sorts that out then he could start to build a big lead.

Idk its felt recently (I may be mistaken) that Piastri’s had the edge, even withstanding Lando’s mistakes.

Like Piastri went purple purple purple in Bahrain and Norris despite screwing up S1 couldn’t match his other sectors. Similarly in Japan, Piastri was purple/purple before his screw up.

As was mentioned earlier, it could well be a circuit by circuit thing. But it's nice to have an open season, listening to Verstappen moan his way through yesterday's race was entertaining.

Its the same everytime (mainly with Verstappen and Hamilton), everytime they’re not at the front they’re whinging.

Speaking of Hamilton, what a domination of him by LeClerc. Feels like the trend, occasional moment of Hamilton brilliance/flashback, but the majority of the time Charles will be well on top.

Probably give him till the middle of the season to get acclimatized in a new car before casting a full judgement, but I suspect he's just too old now.

Yeah it's weird that the guy who's been in the team for 5 years is doing better.

Rosbergs win was pretty credible. Took everything he had though.

Hamilton is just hitting the mild decline stage. He's still world class, but Leclerc is in his prime and has superb 1 lap pace.
