First the SCG, now the MCG...it is about time!

I think it would be good to get the ODI finals away from the MCG. I wouldnt say they had such a "strong tradition" with ODIs. That history aspect is not really there as it would be if it were Test cricket...
I think one of the main problems with Australian cricket grounds is the geography. Every ground is such a distance from one another, its probably just easier to stay over in the South East... Thats why I get a little tired of Tasmanians complaining that they dont get enough cricket. Its called a FERRY.

Yes, no history at all associated with the MCG and ODIs. It's only hosted a World Cup Final.

Bit of a token gesture don't you think?

This season I am definatly going to make more of an effort in going to the 'Gabba more often, especially when the Black Caps play there for one of their Tests.
Yes, but it's still better than nothing though.
If sell out games become regular when the Gabba is finished, then I can see the point in rotating the finals. At this stage I still don't see any point.

Well I did say they didnt have SUCH a strong tradition, particulary in comparison to Test Matches.
And anyway, since when does one World Cup final equal tradition? Im not saying its not there at all, I'm saying its not terribly strong when one-dayers are involved.

It would make no sense taking the ODI final away from the MCG. Even if we only get the ground 50% full, that's still 50,000 spectators - currently more than any other ground in Aus bar Telstra Stadium.
