Gah, Mash lose. Only second time this season though. Can't believe we bowled them out for 91 and still lost. Batting was dire, but bowling was a bit better, with Prasad taking 6 in his first 2nd XI game, Bradshaw with a 5-fer, and rookie Burke with 2/34 from 35 (!) overs

Northern's 2nd XI having a big win over Warwickshire, good to see. Couple of players making good contributions. Harkness with a 9'fer, Hutchinson, Pietersen and Vardhan with good knocks. Bring on next week.

One feels that Gordon should have played first and you guys might have got closer, but then again the extra all rounder neally got us over the line. Man its so hard to pick this 1st XI, they all have to perform ok, but not good enough to win every game.
