tbf if his logic is "Boult played a blinder", then it's not really Gambler's Fallacy, as such.
Yeah, depends. If his logic is "it was an anomaly, was unlikely to happen then and is still just as unlikely to happen now" then that's fine. If it was "he won't do it twice in a row" then it's completely faulty though because he doesn't have to do it twice in a row from here.
