Yup, rarely has the saying "let's his bat do the talking" been more apt.I love listening to Brian Lara commentate. He's so amusingly bad at it, but in an endearing sort of way.

Yeah there were so borderline ones that I considered putting in there but I thought people would just try to discredit the entire point by picking on the specifics so I chose not to. Zimbabwe v South Africa was another interesting game in that Zimbabwe were the better side for the first 30 overs of both innings; Bangladesh v NZ was also close at the end and there were a few others too.I thought SL v Aus was a very good game too until Chandiguns got injured tbf..
UAE vs. Ireland too.Only mentioned Afg/Scotland because I was talking about truly top quality nailbenders which went down to the wire.
This is not true at all.I assume it's impossible to have them light up only after the bails have been dislodged. They're not sentient beings or anything. It's to do with the weight of contact on the stumps i think. in this case obviously the ball only rolled onto the base and didnt even activate the light
Misleading scorecard tbh.Bangladesh v NZ was also close at the end
Yeah same. The thing is there are more 75-100 run wins and they seem like thrashings, but they are more like old school 40-70 run wins in that one batsmen just needed to stay in for 3 or 4 more overs. The SL vs Aus is a good example.I thought SL v Aus was a very good game too until Chandiguns got injured tbf..
Yeah which is why I didn't include it in the list.Misleading scorecard tbh.
bails can obviously move back down to the grooves and void any possible dismissal though. i just dont think they should be in playI think the bails and stumps have metal contacts that complete some sort of capacitor circuit; when the bails are dislodged the circuit is broken and they light up.
So yea, unless they are moved off the grooves, they won't light up.
gonna have to prove zings.biz is official and not some sort of spam website tbhThis is not true at all.
Shenwari bossed it tbh.Scotland losing to Afghanistan was the biggest choke of the tournament and ironically no one used the 'C' word for that.
In such instance it wouldu be given not out, as the bails would have settled back in the groove. If they did not settle back in the groove, then they did not settle back in the groove. Pretty straight forward. Extremely fair to give anything out as soon as they light up. That is the moment when the bails dislodged and unless they fell back in, is the moment to give a run out/stumping.bails can obviously move back down to the grooves and void any possible dismissal though. i just dont think they should be in play

2011 was significantly better. All those crazy England games, almost all the knockouts were interesting and the final was excellent too. Great tournament.I think it's been an okay WC without being an amazing one, but I still think it's been better than probably the last two? I dunno, quite a few decent games in the group stages, entertaining semi finals, final might end up being something of a walkover, might not. Quarter finals were crap.
2007 was the worst WC I've seen and 2011 was sort of similar to this one. I remember a lot more really exciting games in 2003 and 1999.
