Final : India vs Sri Lanka

In fairness, they're bowling pretty well at the death here. Hitting their yorkers.
Yeah but this is why you can't afford to plod along at ~6.5rpo for most of the innings. Wickets in hand is nice but they've should've been cashed in four or five overs ago, and Mathews's first three yielding 1/11 was really, really poor.

This is just an outright disgrace. Yuvraj is going to be crucified by the Indian media. Gonna be ugly.

Why don't DHoni and Kohli just move to the off side a bit and hit it back past instead of trying these fancy sweeps

**** yeah, Kula underrated at the death in t20s IMO, has done it well this tournament
Yeah he's a bit of an all or nothing death bowler though; can bowl the dots that most bowlers can't but is also really, really easy to hit for six if he gets it wrong.

You'd back him to defend 5 off the last over before most blokes but you'd also back him to fail to concede 20 off the last over before most blokes.

Will look even worse if Kusal gets off to a flier in the chase too

Yeah, I agree completely. You have to take out Mathews up front and throw SL off their strategy. But irrespective of the rest of the innings, this is quality death bowling.

If anyone said Kohli would be there at the end and we don't get 160. ****ing pathetic.

Look I understand this is great bowling but why the **** don't the commentators realise that all yuvraj had to do was get bat on ball and get off strike. Jesus. Dhoni too

Haha yeah. 7 wickets in hand. As one would say in Hindi - hila lo 7 wickets le ke (shag off with wickets in hand)

That was just perfect defence oriented bowling from Sri Lanka all the way through, got the vulnerable bowlers out of the way early without much damage then the big guns got it right at the death.

amazing death bowling indeed. One of the best T20 death bowling that I have ever seen. Having said that it seemed that the wicket was not very easy to bat on and SL will have to work hard to get to 130. Match on

Early wickets. I am talking 4 down for 20 odd, is the only way we are even going to have a sniff at this.

Dhoni always takes a bit longer to get in than most people realise. Another reason why he should've been at four.

It's not curtains for India though, they're bowling has really improved. Defended a similar total in the CT final.
