In theory yes, but given they’ve played all over the subcontinent in the last couple of years I think NZ missed quite a few tricks in squad selection and both the India games. A specialist spinner instead of one inexperienced pacer too many, not selecting Conway etc. and for a side that prides themselves on playing spin well, should have done better. Looking at Latham in particular.
Yep, we were an in-form side that didn't maximise its output based on all you've said there.

In last Year WT20 , Kohli only scored in finals
This year Rohit only scored in finals .
As much @honestbharani won’t like to admit, Ganguly’s decision has been vindicated to replace Kohli with Rohit as Captain . Although I believe Kohli was the better Test Captain.

Rohit sucks as an onfield captain. I think the one who was this bad was probably Sachin. I am not gonna engage this further today.
unfortunately India cannot embed its henchmen in admin with other sports like it does with cricket.

The only asterisk is Rohit remaining not out in 2007 T20 edition final. They were both dismissed in every final post that. So no more asterisks.

I dont think he's particularly amazing but hard to argue against two tournament wins and reaching a WC final tbh. Pretty consistently good results though I'm not sure it has much to do with his actual on field tactics most times.
He sucks balls in tests though for sure.

I will definitely credit him for changing our approach to LO cricket, esp. batting. But as I said, as an actual on field captain, he sucks balls in every format.
Put it this way, he is a great leader but an awful captain. Fortunately, the leadership part has been more important in white ball cricket and we have won these trophies. But come on, you could see how much we were losing it on the field even in the T20 WC finals. Bumrah had to hit God mode for us to win that and some luck with Hardik getting Klaasen and the mishit at the end by Miller.
truth hurts. I’m just stating what the entire cricket nation outside of India feels. Only Indians would state otherwise.

pressure and the way it impacts your composure is not linear. some handle it, some don't. regardless of whether its 1 billion or 1 person invested.
