Katich is a great batsmen in ICC, ponting, langer, hayden, waugh are the no brainers. Also, Lehmann and Martyn are good batsmen but not right away, they need a year or two. Good luck!

Is there a way I can change my squad after I've picked it? eg. Different Squads for Tests and ODI's?

Coach's Comments:
Good Top-order effort in the first innings. Everybody but Bevan(0) and M Waugh(10) got starts but Hayden(43) and Slater(50) didn't go on with the job. Good century from the skipper(114*) but no-one to support him. Glichrist(10) also poor with the bat. The Spin king, Warne(6-65) did the job but the quickies failed to get anything special happening. Not much positive to say about the second innings. Ponting(25) and S Waugh(23) failing to move the score along while Bevan(38*) could only watch as the wickets tumbled around him. Gilchrist(10) is in danger of giving 23 year old Brad Haddin his Test Debut. None of the bowlers really performed on the spinner's pitch but Brett Lee pick up 2 wickets, both bowled to confirm his spot in the team.

Pak 2nd Inn 233ao
J Gilliespie 4-56 B Lee 4-63

Australia win by 94 runs
MotM: R Ponting

Coach's Comments:
464 is not something you want to see on the scoreboard when you're bowling. Even Brett Lee's 6 wicket haul didn't bring a smile to my face. All out for 149 didn't help my heart but Martyn's 44 and Ponting's 42 were promising. Following on wasn't Ideal either. But 642 runs later I was smiling a lot. Hayden(42), Slater(147), Ponting(238) and Steve Waugh(135) all hit out against the Pakistani bowlers with 4 of the 6 bowlers used going for over 120. Brad Haddin hit a lovely 57 in his first Test match. After this brilliant display of batting Pakistan did not stand a chance with Brett Lee(4-63) and Jason Gillespie(4-56) destroying the Top order. Brett Lee got the last wicket, that of Kashif Raza(caught by Ponting) to bring his match figures to 49-3-185-10

Coach's Comments:
Australia in trouble early at 1-6 then 3-24. But opener Matthew Hayden was still there. He and Bevan(31) put on 78 runs for the 4th wicket to give Australia a decent total. Then Damien Martyn arrived at the crease. He and Hayden hit 150 runs in tandem, Hayden reaching his 3rd ODI century. Martyn reached his 10th ODI 50 before departing for 56. Lehmann arrived with the scoreboard at 5-252. Hayden and the attacking Lehmann continued to hit out. Hayden reached his highest ODI score(153) before being given out to a ball clearly going over his stumps. This only spured Lehmann and Warne on. Australia ended on 6-296 with Lehmann 21* and Warne 8*. An opening stand of 108 sunk Australian hopes. Even McGrath was strugling against the onslaught of the Pakistani's. They finshed on 4-297 with Gilespie picking up 2 wickets.

Coach's Comments:
Gilliespie struck 3 times in the innings but no-one but part-timer Martyn supported him. Brett Lee's bowling was disgusting. Hayden gone first bowl was an omen of the Australian collapse. With only 3 players reaching double figures and Pakistan's tight bowling combined to destroy Australia's hopes of equaling the series.

Coach's Comments:
Gilliespie and Lee demolished the Pakistani's top order with Warne chipping in to help with the tail-enders. Only 4 Pakistani batsmen reached double figures. Haddin went early and Hayden followed sonn after but the Australian batting strength shined through as Captain's Ricky Ponting and Steve Waugh showed class to put Australia in the box seat. But neither Ponting or Waugh lasted to the end as veteran Lehmann and up-and-comer Katich saw Australia home.

END OF TOUR!!!

Mark Waugh Retires from Australian Team!

Veteran batsman Mark Waugh has retired from International cricket after a disapointing tour of Pakistan. "I think the time has come for myself to make way for the younger generation. I am not getting any younger and the ever increasing pressure of International cricket is taking its toll on me. I wish my brother Steve and the rest of the Australian team good luck in the Ashes."

Speculation over Waugh's replacment in the Australian team is rabid at the moment. Simon Katich is the favourite at 3:1 according to the TAB with Michael Clarke(10:1) and Stuart Law(15:1) on the fringes.
