Feedback on Cricket Coach Pro

I thought I'd better start a new thread as, in all honesty, CC Pro is a completely different game to the earlier versions of Cricket Coach. Feel free to stick your opinions on the new version in here.

To me, this is a fantastic improvement with the bowl plans and real life records adding much more to the enjoyment of the game. The bowl plans have addressed a number of users' complaints that the game was too 'clicky' and not enough 'tactics'. In response to this, Oli and Glenn have given you plenty of tactics to play around with and, hopefully, enhance your enjoyment of the game.

But, despite these improvements, the game is not perfect. I feel that improving the transfer system in 2 specific areas (Kolpak, dual nationality players and the transfer window plus improved options - e.g. loans) would definitely help and would make the game much more realistic.

I was considering buying the game, but the 2 day trial totally put me off it. There are so many crash bugs in the game that it's practically unplayable, and certainly not worth 40 bucks or whatever.

I've found that the game crashes every time you attempt to 'continue' after loading a saved game, that the game crashes when you try and sign too many players at once to your squad, it crashes at various points when selecting international sides for tours, and it crashes are various other points for reasons that are totally lost on me. In about 2 hours of play last night and another hour today, I've had to start 4 different saved games, because the game died for no apparent reason during each one, and wouldn't let me load any of them again without crashing as soon as I tried to continue.

Simply put, not remotely good enough for a game that is meant to be a commerical release. The gameplay is fine in most respects, aside from a few problems with the AI doing weird things (opening the bowling with Symonds and Watson for Queensland and bringing on Kasprowicz and Johnson when the ball was 50 overs old, for instance), but good gameplay doesn't mean anything if you can't play the thing for half an hour without it crashing.

That's a real shame to hear that Sean.

I hoped that all the crashes and gameplay issues would have been fixed by now.

There is one piece of code which is causing all of the crash bugs you have mentioned with the continue button. This has been fixed and a new version will be available sometime next week.

Good to hear. Will a new free trial be available?

I would say yes Sean as in the past all new versions of Cricket Coach have meant new trial versions.
