And you talk up Brendan Leonard.

Hmm, think that supports my point about your lack of knowledge fairly well.

Seriously...if he's one of your favourite sportsmen then.... sheesh....Chose someone else

Why must you constantly criticise everybody else when it is yourself infact who is a mug? You're definitely acting like one here.

I like and admire Jimmy Cowan because he was born and brought up in the same town as me (and Marshall  ), and I met him before he was 'famous' and he came across as a really nice guy. My Dad has also run into him a few times and says nothing but good things about him, a wonderful competitor and a top notch footy player.

So I suggest you take yourself when you feel you may be wanted, because it's certainly not here.

Shows how little you know about either of them.
I know that Cowan's below average

Cowan - grew up in Mataura, looks like Meg Ryan, likes getting thrown out of bars

All comparisons aside, Cowan is better than Leonard, and inside information I've been privy to suggests the senior players weren't all that thrilled when the selectors opted for Ellis and Leonard, and didn't take one of either Weepu or Cowan. Leonard's pass may be quick, but lacks direction, and Cowan's has vastly improved in the last couple of season.

And Cowan still has a full head of hair...

There's a name I didn't expect to see in too many people's lists. Mind me asking why? I had you down as a Villa fan for some reason.

All-time I couldn't even begin to narrow it down to three, but Martin Johnson would be in there anyway.

Currently something like:

1) Cesc Fabregas
2) Roger Federer
3) William Gallas

Yes, I am that parochial, I'm afraid.

Umm, I don't mind asking why, but I'd struggle to actually give much of an answer. I think it started watching him be quite good in the '02 in the World Cup, then insisting upon putting him in a fantasy football team and becoming quite attached, can't entirely remember.

And yer, I am a Villa fan but there's no player on our team that I'm that fond of.
