Pretty much it, really. Was also an admirer of Mick Vaughan's & David Gower's seemingly effortless grace; even when attacking both seemed to have a languid ease to their play and Gilly's ability to play proper cricket shots and still somehow manage to unerringly take the game away from the oppo. I can never quite get my head around such a fearless cricketer being striken (by his own admission) by such self-doubt. He played like a man who never entertained the idea of failure.

Currently have a lot of time for Sanga, whose orthodoxy is very easy on the eye. Props also to Sehwag & KP, who're anything but, but who are absolute box office when in the zone. Both play very straight too, so all the switch hits and pulls from a good length are underpinned with a solid basic rectitude to their play.

BEST batsmen i've witnessed
All Time Ponting for how he made his way from a pllace in australia that very rarely chose players from before him, Border because the man had the guts to take it to arguably the greatest attack ever, he never won but he shook them into believing they could be beaten, and Lara for achieving greatness when everyone fell around him and he just soldiered on.

Current, Sangakarra, what an effortless style, the sri lankans are fun to watch, and he's the best, Tendulka, the master of our time

Sehwag, makes batting look so easy at times. Bell, Jayawardene and Laxman are awesome to watch as well.
