I could not get myself to vote for Botham over Steyn because though Botham had a sensational beginning, Steyn has also had an equally sensational Beginning in an era with tougher conditions for the bowlers. Steyn might/might not be able to reproduce a similar amount of success for the rest of his career, but Botham certainly did not.

Never thought I'd vote for Steyn but have been deeply impressed by what's being written about him in another thread atm.

If there were a prize for looking like a rat he would also win, although Nasser Hussain would be pushing him hard
