England won the event beating Netherlands in the final

It's the 3rd time in 4 years that England have won it, Netherlands were the only other winner of this

The common thread to the sqaud is that they all played National Counties cricket. All four times (3 x winners, once beaten finalists) that the tournament has been played Engalnd have sent a NCCA XI.

Dan Lincoln 1 x FC game for Kent (2021), Middlesex, Kent T20 (2019-2021)
Sam Young ex Somerset 2021
Nils Priestley ex Derbyshire 2021
Toby Greatwood ex Middlesex 2023
Tom Hinley ex Sussex 2021, Worcestershire ODC 2024 contract and given contract for 2025
Tommy Sturgess Worcestershire ODC 2024 contract
so all above have had some sort contract with a first class county.
Hemp (son of David) played 2nd XI cricket for Glamorgan in the past and some team called the Caribbean Tigers??
Haydon played 2nd XI cricket for Derbyshire this year
Scott Warwickshire 2nds in the past, FC for Oxford University
Keeling Wright 2nd XI 2024 for Northants and Worcs
Allison Worcs 2nds 2024
Fallows 2nd XI in the past
Connell I'm amazed he has never played 2nd XI cricket. Star of the tournament.

They don't have a strong track record of left field thinking out of the box (other than for the overseas) signings
Domestic signings tend to be no risk established players Salt, Buttler, Wells, Jennings, Onions, Loye, Sutcliffe. The risky surprises tend to be marginal at best : Wood, Blatherwick, Edwards, Stanley, Shah, Tahir, Shankar most of whom don't even get a shot at the first team.

Doubt he would be given more than a couple of second XI games, like Savin Perera this season, to prove he was head and shoulders better than "our own"
