Umm, I'm never going to be in a blogosphere, but to be honest it's no mystery, he's relentlessly good against us, it's as simple as that, there's no stylistic points to grab onto like Ponting, he is horribly functional. Really the question should be is what is there to like from an english perspective?

No there's more to it than that.
When he first emerged he was a tubby blow-hard who told tales out of school (an early nickname was "The Witness", after he gave evidence against Matthew Hayden when the latter had said some nasty things to the poor, fragile little lamb) whose idea of leading from the front was to go and bat at #5 when he couldn't lay bat on the swinging ball.
He's matured now, but early on his idea of leading from the front was being a massive **** and badmouthing players who'd paid their dues and, in some instances, whose jockstrap he wasn't fit to carry.

If I hated anyone who did well against England I'd have a pretty shallow pool of cricketers I didn't actively despise.
Ironically Kallis's record against us isn't that flash and I've never been a real admirer of his.

starting to get through some counties now. impressive given he's now a regular at international level and the role of journeymen overseas pro is normally reserved for those not playing international cricket
