Good on Alastair Cook. Five years of fine service for his County after retiring from England. Nasser Hussain didn't give us a single game!

What a career Cook has had. We all know his test achievements but for me his 5 seasons for Essex after retiring from International cricket sum him up best.

He was happy to play cricket for his beloved Essex, out of the spotlight.

Depends on his England commitments, currently the Blast group stages are 14.

Whilst he played 7 first class games this year, 5 the year before. Mostly in the early season April to May, surely all he has to negotiate is permission to enter IPL draft and hope he gets picked up. 2 years left on his contract.
