England test tour of Pakistan December 2022

He was always going to get out before getting set today. Little stroke of luck for Pakistan the early finish yesterday. Can’t really argue with England’s new style overall but wish Stokes batted like he did 2019-2020.

Drafted in tests because he can breach the 150 mark. He should be used as a T20 specialist IMO, that's where his real skill is.
You'd think he might be able to restrict the RR to significantly below normal T20 rates when there's no fielding restrictions. But apparently not.

Brook can't have asked for a better pitch for a first test overseas. Played well and showing some great skills with these reverse slogs

Dang. Looks like they're not gonna reach 700. I think you'd want that on this surface.

Though Panicstan will probably throw it away for under 250 here.

The freak scoring rate (as well as memories and records) gives the team more time to win for the rest of the game but does mean Pakistan will bat before deterioration, remember in the India test we won (albeit different pitches) the strip deteriorated during their first innings.

What's the worst economy rate for a bowler in a Test match for 10+ overs, 20+ overs etc.?
10+ Overs: Yasir Shah vs. Australia @ Sydney 2017: 8.85 (14 - 0 - 124 - 1)
20+ Overs: Imran Tahir vs. Australia @ Adelaide 2012: 7.82 (23 - 0 - 180 - 0)
30+ Overs: Yasir Shah vs. Australia @ Adelaide 2019: 6.15 (32 - 1 - 197 - 0)

Zahid Mahmoud currently at 7.46 off 28 overs. Definitely on track for beating the 30+ overs tally, but would need a couple of awful overs to own the 20+. Currently 7th Worst Test Economy rate of all time (10+ overs)
