Here's what Duckett actually said about Bumrah. It's not nearly as bad as the headline suggests.

Duckett also spoke about the challenge of facing Jasprit Bumrah in the upcoming series: “I’ve faced him in a five-Test series before. I know what he’s going to do to me, and the good thing about that is I know what skills he has,” said Duckett.
“There’s going to be nothing that surprises me. It’s going to be challenging, and the red-ball skills of Mohammed Shami are just as threatening as Bumrah. But if I can get through that opening spell, I feel there are runs to be had.”

Media seem to be touting a surprise pick in Dan Worral. Hope they choose Sam Cook before him this summer. Pitches in oz this season looked very green at least in the tests against india. The most successful bowlers in the shield seem not more than fast medium, plus the oldies like Siddle and Bird still av under 20. By the end of our summer, its quite likely a lot of our hopefuls will be crocked, so maybe Jimmy should keep fit just in case.

England really really really should not be selecting a mid thirties Australian journeyman.

In the CC, Durham, Essex and Sussex will probably run them closest. Somerset may be favourites in the Blast. 50 over is a crap shoot. Whoever's the least exposed to the Hundred.
You have a high opinion of my lot - avoiding relegation will be our main aim I think, although I suspect our seam bowling attack will be one of the best in the division (and maybe I underestimate how good Carson is).

I'd rather England select the entire Eton First XI than Dan Worrall.
Just seems to be a fun name for the media to play around with, I really doubt he's seriously being considered. I'm hoping Robinson makes a strong start for Sussex and gives Key/McCullum a headache because I think he's been so poorly managed.

Has he? Managed himself badly for sure.
Yeah, no doubt he's a difficult individual, but he'd hardly be the first talented yet complicated person to represent England. How you let a bloke with an average under 23 from 20 Tests drift away is unacceptable. Perhaps if he was a chirpy Northerner or played golf he'd have been given more leeway...

I still wonder if he said something after that ridiculous declaration in 2023 when him and Root were going along well against the Aussies.

He's sabotaged himself but with Broad/Anderson on the way out, he should've been our main seamer, so the management should've busted their humps to get him fit/in the right headspace. Farby ought to talk some sense into him.

Robinsons fitness for tests became a major issue. After Headington 2023 and ranchi 2024, england seem to have given up on him. But it must be more than that, cos wood, leach etc have long injury or sickness layoffs but remain part of the setup.

Tbf Wood has had many injury issues (which come with the territory when you are a 90mph+ bowler in your mid-30s), but when he is not injured he is perfectly fit to perform his role for the team, the last time Robinson was in the team, he didn’t look fit, but there must be another reason he's been entirely frozen out because normally this setup give every chance to players who are in the team
