England in New Zealand 28 Nov-18 Dec 2024 - 3 Tests

Nice to get a lead above 100 but this is a pretty flat pitch now, little bit of variable bounce but nothing drastic. So I think England 78 all out is a realistic shout

O' rourke you beauty. Lad has a helluva spine.

Love him but not sure what mitchell was doing ducking and weaving for the longest time instead of scoring runs. Bowling was ok but nothing out of this world. He's got the ability to take it on.
Scored a third of our runs. He did fine.

Mitchell's strength is boshing it down the ground, he was waiting for them to get bored of banging it in (which they did)

I mean, he took it on on that last ball there and got out...

That last partnership just demonstrates the horribly bungled opportunity to make this a really interesting game. England should win this at a canter. NZ should be filthy at themselves over the way they’ve played.
Yeah pretty much, pitch has been flat all match and only Carse is really a threat once the ball is old.

I think it's fine to give Southee a look first up - if it's swinging he could be dangerous. But if he's looking slow and innocuous then he has to be pulled off straight away
