It supposed to be 27/28 in Chch today so the early green pitch might get burnt off quickly.
TNT assuming you want to watch the cricket!Yo my fellow Anglos, am I Sky Sportsing or TNTing tonight?
yes trueTNT assuming you want to watch the cricket!
it's a bit at this point, right?Well your not far wrong with this
I wonder if they are playing up to it to piss people off
TNT good sir.Yo my fellow Anglos, am I Sky Sportsing or TNTing tonight?
McCullum told us how good Cox was at golf and now Stokes similar about Bethell.it's a bit at this point, right?
Yes was surprised to see the summer like conditions forecast for today.A feel like bazball England are a bad match up for NZ. Maybe I'm just gambhiring ....
But honestly. A Hagley pitch dried by the heatwave and strong winds turning into batting paradise, NZ medium pacers, Brook and co. It scares me I have to admit.
It's hard to know how to feel about this England team. They swing so wildly from the comic to the sublime. Scoring 800 in 150 overs is terrifying, but then at the same time they got skittled for 150 in good batting conditions by SL, and surrendered a dominant position v India after Joe Root tried to reverse scoop Jasprit Bumrah of all people. If they bat first at Hagley, it's hard to know whether they'll finish 400/4 dec, or 100 all out, but both results and everything in between feels equally likely.A feel like bazball England are a bad match up for NZ. Lyon got a couple to rip on day 3 of last year's test to help keep Australia's chase to under 300, but then again he's forgotten more than Bashir will ever know about how to bowl on pitches that are bad for spinners.Hagley pretty much just varies between fast bouncy batting paradise, and fast bouncy and a bit seamy right? Spin unlikely to be a factor unless we were playing multiple consecutive tests there
By that I mean the spinner not needing to be used at all if hadn't been hot.Hagley pretty much just varies between fast bouncy batting paradise, and fast bouncy and a bit seamy right? Spin unlikely to be a factor unless we were playing multiple consecutive tests there
No I'm with you on this. Difficult stylistic match up for us.A feel like bazball England are a bad match up for NZ. Maybe I'm just gambhiring ....

NZ = Parker - good fundamentals and plans but a bit too small and lacking in fire power, and easily demoralizedNo I'm with you on this. Difficult stylistic match up for us.
We're more of a Joe Frazier type: good movement, able to neutralise opponents usual skills advantages. Very good against Muhammad Ali types (e.g. skillful spinners and fastbowlers), but liable to get steamrolled by big George Foreman (#intent types).
