EDITORS FOR ICC (what versions are editors available?)

Apparantly there are no data editors for icc2005, but I have found several editors for different versions. The one for ICC2002 seems quite complex as it involves inputting codes using the ms dos prompt.

However I have also found this one
ICEd (ICC Editor) (1.5 Mb) by Chau Lee

Although it dosen;t say what version it is for.

What I wanted to do really (and have always wanted the opportunity to do) is create my own lancashire county cricket squad and then play a season. For example I could choose Strauss to open the innings Harmison etc Pieterson if i wanted, and just select my squad from any names I wanted. If it;s an old version you could simply edit the names and add players like Pieterson making them outstanding players and making Flintoff as good as he is in real life.

Any thoughts?

Is this going to be possible at any stage

ICEd is for the original ICC, released in 1998. There's also one for ICC2 (I2Ed if memory serves), and Magpie for ICC2002.

Thanks, I just hope they do being out an editor for the new one soon.

I contemplated buying a cheap copy of one of the older games to use the editor, but this is pointless, as other things will be out of date on the game.

I've no choice but to wait.

just a thing, if you did make your team good like that, you wouldnt have a team coz they'd all be on international duty

I don't know, maybe ICC2005 database format isn't that different to the old one. I bet its just a different sized header or something, I bet all the fields are the same or similar. Whoever made convdb maybe able to modify it to ICC2005 easily.

On the other hand I may be wrong.

I think you could be onto something. I tried using the exact procedure for icc2002 but for the 2005 version, and it was ok up until you need to extract the files. As long as data can then be loaded then the principle should be the same.

Sadly i'm hardly knowledgable at these things. :-O :@
