Editing rules changed?

Occasionally, I write something stupid or correct a dumb typo in one of my posts - I know I should preview carefully before posting, but I lack the self-discipline (and I'm sloppy).

Anyhow, it used to give you about two minutes or so before it showed up "edited by etc..." Have the time-span for this changed now? 'Cause I noticed the last couple of days that a quick edit was now showing the message.

Was it done for a reason? I was just wondering...

doesnt it only show that if someone has viewed the page in question? Like if zsomeone has already viewed the un edited post?

I thought it was just over 1 minute, but I don't think it was based on anything I'd read.

I must edit at least half my posts within that time so as to correct ambiguities and omitted words.

Yeah I edit a lot as well, and it seemed like it was a bit shorter to me too... maybe it's just an illusion.

So it's whether or not a post has been seen then? I gather this must have changed in some way over the last week or so though, 'cause there's a definite difference in the time you get more recently

Just noticed this thread. I made a fair amount of changes in the forum about a week ago now so perhaps I changed this by mistake.
