LOL wrong choice of words sorry..but he hasnt really played much..he has been playing test cricket for about 4 years now..and based on what little of him I saw, he was very impressive

AD is right, South Africans are struggling and time the tests come round and Ntini, who averages 80 odd this season in first class cricket is playing, things will not improve. Says something when you are look towards Paul Harris as possible inspirational. Burden on Steyn is too big and Parnell, who despite limited first class experience will be expected to fire immediately.

England’s attack isn’t much better but at least Anderson, Broad and Swann are comfortable in their roles and operate as a collective.

Yeah, think he will be the most 'feared' bowler to the South Africans, as he bowls straight, at a decent lick and gets the ball up there. England just needs to hope he doesn't get carried away with the possible pace and bounce and start bowling short. Swann might have a quiet series, as the South African middle-order, Duminy aside are all right handers. Probably will fancy himself early on against Smith and Prince.

Reckon ENG will have to play 4 seamers TBH. Not too comfortable with Swann in 4-man attack againts SAs batting line up, if one of chosen 3 semaers has an off-day which will happen.

Swann is a far better bowler than the options for 4th seamer though, as well as adding a handy option in the lower order with the bat.

^ True that..especially after the Ashes he has had..he should be picked atleast for the first two tests...and then his performances will determine his place.
