Thanks a lot for the effort DoG. I'll go ahead and say this was better than any Anantha stats analysis I've read on Cricinfo. Great write ups also.

My favorite Murali statistic is his "peak" that lasted 11 years from start of 1998 to end of 2008 when he took 631 wickets in 90 matches at 19.94 and 7 wickets a match. That's Sydney Barnes, the #2 bowler of all time on this list, for >3x number of tests.

Ah, sorry, my bad. I've just tried pasting directly from libreoffice calc in the testing forum, if you just select the cells in excel and paste them straight into the reply box (not into a separate table) it should work?

Best bet is to copy it from Excel into notepad. Align it all there and then copy and paste it from there’s into the

 feature

Yeah, a book would be good. It'd interesting to see how you'd mix the stories of the players' careers with the stats those careers produced.
