Yeah pretty much.Similar to Jimmy Anderson on the bowler's list? Poor non-home record compensated by a massive amount of career points.
Fredericks 667Who placed higher out of Hunte and Fredericks
Neck a neck as I suspectedFredericks 667
Hunte 664
Interesting. Also, interesting to see Chris Gayle rank above all three but looking at Gayle's stats they are halfway decent for an opener. Average of 40 + vs 5 of the 9 test nations. Yes 2 of them are Zim/Bang. Away not too shabby either.Hunte is generally regarded as better than both Haynes and Fredricks but trails them both in this exercise.
Mahela was good on Indian tracks too, and that may have hugely affecting his average against quality oppositions.Similar to Jimmy Anderson on the bowler's list? Poor non-home record compensated by a massive amount of career points.
Answering the second part...No. he only played 4 of 114 innings against Bangladesh. Can anyone shed some light on Flowers huge peak stat? Is that adjusted peak? And does it coincide with when Zimbabwe seemed to play alot against the minnow class bangladesh?
would indicate a yes.* All averages, runs per innings and strike-rates are adjusted by era, quality of opposition, and match conditions.
Comparison of the top 5 West Indies openers, with points rounded to the nearest full number and adjusted averages given in parenthesis:What rank was Haynes?
Hunte against Quality Opposition is great. Let down by his peak, which IMO doesn't matter that much.Comparison of the top 5 West Indies openers, with points rounded to the nearest full number and adjusted averages given in parenthesis:

Yea he was a hell of a player and often goes 'forgotten' to an extent when talking about best batsmen.Answering the second part...No. he only played 4 of 114 innings against Bangladesh.
Answering the first part...
would indicate a yes.
This is why I love these excercises. When he played i had a lot of respect for his batting, which has somehow faded from memory.
I'd would like to thank you.I would like to once again thank everyone for their interest and support. Over 50 pages already and we haven’t even got to the meat yet!
If anyone wants to do a mini write-up/tribute of their favorite batsman in the remaining 27 then just PM it to me.

What is 40ppp and how do I use it?How can DoG be such a great contributor without 40ppp turned on? It's like batting with a stump.
