Damn that's actually closer than I thought it'd be
Would you be able to check Root's double century in Chennai from Feb this year? And if not too much trouble, his double century and 186 in Sri Lanka from January? Thanks!I haven't updated the batting or bowling lists for a while so I may have missed some outstanding performances in the last couple of years. If anyone wants me to calculate any notable performances, post them here.

Same question that I asked some minutes ago haha??.It's interesting that Dudley Nourse's superlative 231 in Johannesburg in 1935 makes the list, but Stan McCabe's even more celebrated innings from the same Test doesn't (though it's understandable as Nourse made more runs against a better attack).
@Days of Grace what were the ratings of McCabe's three classics - the 187*, 189* and 232? They're probably all hamstrung a little by the fact that, despite the peaks of batsmanship he scaled in all three innings, Australia won none of those matches.
Ha, I saw your question about Hobbs and Trumper, but missed the edit where you added McCabe!Same question that I asked some minutes ago haha??.

Yeah true. One of the things that is so striking about all three of McCabe's innings is his sheer dominance of the scoring. His 187 was out of 278 (67% of the runs scored while he was in), his 189 was out of 257 (74%), and the 232 was out of 300 (77%)! Just incredible batting.also damaged by strike-rate not factoring into the rating system

Very surprised abt not seeing McCabe ,can you say me the ranking of his 180 in bodyline series,232 in 1936 which bradman called the best innings he ever saw and that innings against sa where the sa captain appealed against light.
