Oh I just noticed the punAzharuddin fixes the middle order problem there
Dravid *****? The stonewaller?
Some of you so called Indian fans don't even know who your best ODI players are! Sad!
Lemme guess, Dravid's there to 'steady the ship' if the top order fails. Cowardice! Already planning for defeat! This ain't a Bangladeshi team mate.
Ajay Jadeja and Suresh Raina before Sehwag and Dravid.
Yep, agree with this lineup completely. Only things I'd comment on are that Rohit clearly > Ganguly and that I can see Bhajji going out for Shami (or another spinner). Shami's WC record is the best from any Indian pacer which earns him a lot of credit despite playing <100 games.Sachin
Sourav/Rohit
Virat
Yuvi
MSD (c) (wk)
Raina
Kapil
Bhajji
Kumble
Zaheer
Bumrah
Absolutely no need for Dravid in a strong batting lineup with 3 batsmen that each have a case for being the best ODI batsman of all time.Ajay Jadeja was a fixer, and I considered Raina but he's better at 6/7, where we already have MSD and Dev. Yuvi is a lock for 5, and Dravid's probably India's most successful number 4 outside of Azhar and Jadeja.
. Underrated, big game fixer
And seriously - Raina in an ATG XI? Have people lost their mind? You want to see him try and score runs vs the likes of Ambrose, Garner, Starc, Bond, Botham, Wasim, Waqar, Imran Khan, Hadlee, etc?
Jadeja's cricketing achievements were later overshadowed by a 5-year ban for match-fixing. The ban was later quashed by the Delhi High Court on 27 January 2003, making Jadeja eligible to play domestic and international cricket.Agreed. Azhar gets all the headlines, Ajay is often forgotten.
