No - never played the beautiful game. Go to some Norwegian league games when I can to watch (1 out of 2 spectators)
I never actually knew they had even heard of cricket in Norway

I believe van Jaarsveld averaged around 9 (!!) with the ball as well.

Sam.. if I can make runs and take wickets (not many, admittedly) then anyone can, it's all about application :)

Lot of Backyard Cricket.

I bat like the early Dravid, as I face a lot of balls but neither get out easily nor do I score runs.

I am more of a Swinger. Mainly a bowler, though expensive.

Im a legspinning all rounder.. Play club cricket in Somerset, and have done since i turned 11.. Ive played no representative, and the only age group cricket has been at college where I am pressing for a place in the U18 "A"..

Im a defensive batsman who likes to keep the traditional values of batting in use, extremely quick between the wickets.. I bowl leggies succesfully i guess.. I can also bowl quick which helps if the situation warrants it...

My main failing is that i put too much pressure on myself.. Im often a wreck, even if ive been bowling well.. Kind of like Allan Donald/Angus Fraser with all the shouting/ranting.. I seem to undergo some sort of personality transformation on the pitch... Anyway

Yeah I play cricket in my last year at Auckland Grammar, went to Kings College last year but I had to leave because the dam buggers kept increasing the fees.....

I'm an opening bat and a off-spinner/medium-pacer. I play indoor cricket.

I played on and off for some time but was never much good (better than nibblet though :p ). I always felt I had some ability as a defensively minded batsman who tended to look better the better the bowling was, although as a real youngster I had always fancied myself as a pace bowler. In truth I have never been anything more than medium (medium by under 18 or high school first XI standards that is). I retired from club after the 2001/02 season (just as I was turning 17) and played out the 2002 season for the school first XI. In my last year of first XI I was able to play something of a starring role, occasionally opening the batting and bowling, and usually knocking up 30 or so, with a top score of 70. My best effort with the ball was 5/5 in under 18s in late 2001. My strongest claim to fame was trialling for Auckland under-19s in April 2002 as a result of having a rather over eager first XI coach. Suffice to say I was slightly out of my depth, particularly with bat in hand against various Auckland and NZ reps.

No I dont play. Would be tragic at it even if I tried.
Plus, well, I find female cricketers slightly scary ... no offence to the girls here who play!

I used to play for my school for 2 years till I was 15. Now I play for fun every weekend. I would say I'm a very good fielder and I'm very quick while running. My bowling is not bad (medium pace/leg spin). While batting, I'm kinda defensive though I used to be far more aggressive.

Haven't played much in the last year or so, mostly backyard cricket only.

Was in my school team for three years.

Played for my college in the first year, but since the start of the second year haven't really found much time to play competitive cricket.

BTW, I bat at number 3 or 4, and bowl medium pace.

I played for my School's first XI for three years (not much of an achievment really). I used to play local club cricket as well. I'm a leggie, but I'm getting better at batting. I contribute now and again with both. Soimetimes I open the batting, and usually get out hitting out - e.g. I have 9 runs from about 50 balls, when we need 5 an over. Ah well. I'm hoping to develop a few more shots and start to read length a bit better.

As a bowler, I bowl strange leg spin. It's orthodox really, as I don't **** my wrist back. My best figures was something like 3-30. Not great, but unfortunately, captains don't like bolwing spinners for longer than an over or two. Its a real problem - if you have one bad over as a spinner, you get taken off. The quickies, meanwhile, get a few more chances. infuriating. I remember once where I had a spell of 3-0-8-1 and got taken off only for the next lot of quickes to get smacked around. ah well. I'm hoping to play more cricket at Uni (Glasgow) next year.

Insert "term" where you put "year" and that is nearer what we have to fork out..
No wonder I'm always eating pot noodles...
