Sorry, I fail to see the similarities. CM03/04's interface contains a side bar, ticker along the bottom and more whilst WCM's does not. Bear in mind that this doesn't actually portray what the rest of the interface looks like.

(For example, once you get into the 'management section', ie once a new game has been started, that top bar changes radically to include several drop down menus and other game information).

That was meant to say CM3 or CM4, completely forgot it's 2003/04 IRL.

That shot has a menu on the LHS, a main text window and a smaller one at the bottom plus the two-coloured title, in addition to the greyed boxes overlaying a background.

As mentioned in my last post, the header becomes the 'control panel' of your management experience. The left hand menu section contains buttons to navigate about a particular section (eg on the player profile screen, history, attributes etc) and then the lower navigation bar allows you to navigate within that sub-section. This has been designed in this fashion to allow you to get to a piece of information within a couple of clicks.

(Darkened areas are fairly common within management simulations with background images as without them, text would be fairly difficult to read - see the example of MVCM).

I'll take your word for that :)

Know exactly what you mean - it's difficult to create any kind of GUI that doesn't revolve around that kind of display.

I'm not complaining if it looks like CM... which it kind of does. But I was really expecting a pretty bad interface with the brunt of the work being done in other areas, as with alot of freeware/shareware games. But I must say, that looks brilliant. Nice and clear and crisp. Is there any ways of changing the background (like in CM)?? That could definitely add a new dimension, as people would be able to add their own and make the experience even better.

If the game engine's anything like it's supposed to be(and i'm sure it is), i'm certainly going to get it.

Changing of backgrounds is something I've considered but might not have the time to get done just yet.

PS Expect to see more screenshots over the coming months (these will be centred more around the features of the game and should hopefully show you that this game has depth to it).

Great job Glenn.

I think that the CC looks more like CM than WCM. I think it may be a bit too black though, with the black buttons. Not decided on that yet.
