That penultimate ball must be near the record for runs off 1 ball. :D:p;)
Three runs off actually - in the 30s, an Aussie hit the ball to deep midwicket, where it disappeared in the grass. They ran 17 runs before it was found....

unlucky reds , just where beaten on the day by a better side. some good performances with the bat but we just didnt bowl to well. a few bats made plenty of starts but no one really turned it into a big score which is what we needed but, he yits all good!

I haven't changed any dates on the schedule and my schedule says the games were set for Friday.
Weird, the schedule I have, I downloaded from this thread (from page 1-10, can't remember exactly) - and it says that the Blues were supposed to play the Greens in OD on Friday.

Solid batting and consistent bowling worked together in the impressive win. Two of the most notable achievements in the game, 1) the return to form of Jagaways and 2) the maiden FC fifty for David Kearsley. Big win.

Daily Blast Comment: A mixed result for Cricket Web Blue. While they can be comforted in having outplayed England A throughout, it still wasn't a win. The bowlers appear to be tired at this point in the season and this really showed when it came to dislodging the England A middle order in the second innings. An epic knock from the skipper, Peter Young and some fine bowling, especially by Adam and Nath Patrick, are a couple of many positives.

Cricket Web Red 1st Innings 241 all out
Cricket Web Green 2nd Innings 449 all out
Cricket Web Red 2nd Innings 159 all out
Cricket Web Green won by 312 runs.

Daily Blast Comment: This game was undoubtedly won by the Green batting. Honours were fairly even on the 1st innings, but fantastic concentration and purpose shown by the Green top and middle order set the Reds an all but impossible 2nd innings task. The key players were Waugney and Blewy in that respect, but much mention of Cloete's first innings hundred - his 3rd consecutive FC game with such an achievement. Despite the crushing defeat, the Reds can take some small comfort in the old ball bowling of Bugssy and then the determined stance of the tail in the situation. CW Green played a great game and deserved their glory, but CW Red went down with some fight.

Great win guys! The second Innings was great to watch along with Clote's first innings knock. The bowlers all shared the workload well with each putting in the hard yards throughout the match.

On a personal note, my good 5D form continues picking up 5 wickets in the match and bowling a **** load of maidens. Also glad to see i'm keeping my good first class average of around 17. :)

Lets keep going Greens!

Thrilled with my 5day stats of 47 wickets at an average of 23, and very honoured to be in the top 5 rated bowlers in the competition along with the likes of Neil Pickup, Martin Saggers, Xavier Rose and Chris Silverwood. Also thrilled to be the leading the catches tally for non wicketkeepers in the competition. We've made some stunning progress and when you look at the Black's team stats, its no doubt that this is the case.

OD stats however, my bowling economy is alright at 4.6, but I do need to get the average down and start bowling like a strike bowler.

I think its further evidence that I'm well suited to the 5 day game. But as long as I can contribute to more Black victories in the OD's I'll be a very happy player.

Well done Blacks, lets finish the season emphatically.

I'm happy with my economy rate in the 5D, but for a big spinner of the ball, I really should have a better SR. Will get in the nets.

Bowling in OD, very happy that I have the best bowling average out of all the CW bowlers.
