International Captain
Nobody bowled more than three overs from CW Green, maybe you were being saved for later - although that seems like a bit of an odd choice for someone going for only 2.5 an over, so who knows!

England 'A' 2nd Innings 295 all out
Cricket Web Black 2nd Innings 137 all out
England 'A' won by 74 runs.

Daily Blast Comment: The frustration of Blacks slide continues. This time the real frustration first stemmed from being incapable of knocking over the England A tail as soon as they should have in the 2nd innings and then from a spectacular collapse from 0/3 to an eventual 137 all out chasing 212 to win. It's becoming clearer and clearer that bits and pieces players simply can't win 5D matches posing as batsmen.

Australia 'A' 1st Innings 384 all out
Cricket Web Green 2nd Innings 439 all out
Australia 'A' 2nd Innings 143 all out
Cricket Web Green won by 100 runs.

Daily Blast Comment: In a season that has featured some wonderful comeback wins, this one has to be at the very top. To recover from a first innings deficit of 196 to win by 100 runs is unbelievable. A timely hundred from Waughney and half-centuries from Loony Bob and Majin are the main heroic performances, but Australia still had to be bowled out, which Majin returned to contribute alongside Biased Indian in doing. Allround a wonderful team effort, bar the stint where a catch was dropped in each of the first 3 overs of the last innings (5 before lunch on day 5). ;)

The Comeback looked more like:
CW Green 188 all out
England 'A' 384 all out
CW Green 439 all out
England 'A' 143 all out

but anyways, teriffic comeback guys, to bat like Waughney, Loony Bob and Marjin did in our 2nd innings is an awsome effort. than to rip through the tail like Marjin and Biased Indian did was special.

We certainly now know how to win from anywhere, lets keep doing it :)

Do you lot actually want to play for the Blacks?

Are you just going through the motions out there or are you putting 110% into every delivery?

Unlucky Reds :(

I let you down...5 and 1 batting at 3 isn't good enough...

We'll bounce back, though...

GO REDS!!!!!!

Bad luck Reds, I'll say it, like I have been all season - "Catches win matches". Although we are improving in that department it simply isn't good enough yet.

Let's finish the season off with a few wins.

A shocking performance once again, the batting is the biggest cause of concern. Our depth is really being tested here.

It was fantastic on a personal front to get 6/42, and as a captain, after taking 6/42 myself, I was sure of a victory.

How quickly things change...

Great win fellow Greenies! The great second innings digs from Waughney, bob and majin gave us a shot at victory and we took it with both hands. Lets keep rolling :).

Our bowling has been good, and solid so far, with mostly everybody putting in. Our batting lacks experience, depth and technique with the likes of Rich2001, Eclipse and Chalk out of this side.

Younger batsmen in this Blacks Side especially really need to pull their socks up, and immediately. Without naming names, there are a few players in our side who are doing well with the bat. One rising star continues to get my respect, and a few other players are really putting in with the bat in positions their not used to.

But the main thing is that we need to put together a collective effort with the bat. I see no reasons why some useful utility cricketers in our side can't post a solid 20-40 runs to support the top order players.

I think its time for extensive batting practice, in the nets, against the machines, agaisnt swing, against bounce, against spin. If we up our batting to match our decent bowling, we'll be back on the winners page once again.

Well. After a weird section of the season, where I played, i'm back to the bench...

Probably a good thing :)

just as exciting to read through blue scorecard as it was to be there at the game!
it was deadset a draw until Sudeep spun us to victory, i had faith in you mate, well done :)
As a captain its these days you play for. The guys you except to come through and lead the way did. We got a good dig from Toogood which probably won us the match in the end. In all reality we should have wrapped up the game earlier if it werent for dropped catches. With Blacks losing we go a little bit further in front on the four day table. Top stuff guys...
