Dennis Lillee: Officially a hypocrite

Personally I dont care much about professional players sledging, or trash talking, no matter what they are saying. The only exception being racist comments.

As for me and TC agreeing, thats surprising you say that TC, I thought we generally agree on most things, maybe I missed something You were not on sports.com so you dont know mine and FL's prolonged debates, and disagreements

Errr, sarcasm dont come across too well on the net do it? You would have thought Id have figured that out LONG ago.

In short; yes I agree that we agree on pretty much anything which comes up. See, we agree again!

It was a disgraceful episode, no doubt. The fact that it was a 'little' tap made it no better.

As far as the fine went, Dennis's 'share' of Headingley would have been about 25 grand - so the fine was chump change.

Anyway, I totally agree with probably everyone (which renders this post utterly pointless, as usual). Lillee is doing nothing more or less than any other ex-player.

He's making a bob or two out of his fabulous career (even if there are a few unsavoury episodes), so I reserve the right to take the **** out of him until I get bored and go back to Warney's mum (not literally).

Lillee as a bowler will always remain one of the all-time greatest, but regarding Lillee the person, I totally agree with T_C on that one. He just showed himself to be a sanctimonious, hypocritical ****.

It only pales into comparison when compared to what he won!!

I'm fine with being in the minority on this - I think it has been blown out of all proportion over the years. Of course Lillee was controversial, so was Javed. Bums on seats.
