I don't have the same disdain as others do about Finch. I accept that his best format order is easily T20, ODI and Tests. Good on him. Having 1 gun T20/mediocre Test type player is better than having 2 reasonable all format players IMO.

Depends how much depth you have really. If you've got the depth in talent to have players specialise then it's fine if players do, but if you've got the depth of Zimbabwe, say, having him actually perform in three formats to a decent standard would be preferable to him specialising.

There's a couple of technical issues he needs to rectify, then he'll start making big FC runs then test runs. Test regular by 2016 and averaging 40 plus.

Still stand by this by the way.

Finch is also a great leader.
