Thought you meant this bit - "Good on them for getting cash out of it" - was you giving the go ahead for players to go ahead and partake in spot fixing.

I meant their general payments. But in the IPL, they can spot fix all they like as well! Because I couldn't care any less about the teams, the competition, or the results.

Sure it's ideological - but it's ideology with a proper foundation. Fox Sports and Fox News are currently owned by New Corp/Consolidatd Media Holdings. And by most definitions this company is a 'criminal organisation'. That is not an exaggeration, it is a simple truth;

Yet this company survives, and is even flourishing in todays stock market, because we the people are dumb enough to utilise it products and pour our hard earned money into its coffers.

One way it survives is to promote itself and advertise itself by the use of gutter journalism and senationalism. Unfortunately Dave Warner has been sucked into the vortex of this horrible News Corp modus operandi. But now that he has, it seems reasonable to me that Fox/News Corp take some of the blame as it is their dispicable form of journalism that caused the problem/issue in the first place.

And significantly, Dave Warner is not in the middle of a fight with the ABC or Fairfax, it's News Corp. It's 'always' News Corp, and they need to be shown up.

I haven't read the article and not seen the photo until now. It changes everything. It is Sreesnath and a couple of other players who aren't Warner that are the centre of this right? Well why doesn't the article carry a picture of them instead? The association of Warner's piccy with the content of the article is misleading and unfair. To use Watson's analogy how would Craddock or the sub editor who ran Warner's image, feel if their own was used over an article about the NOTW scandal: With the fact they work for Murdock as the justification?

He'll be forced to back down but I'd be pleased if Warner stuck to his guns. Frankly it is the paper and the journalist who should appear before an authourity presiding over press standards into this article.
