Damien Martyn in trouble

Corbin

School Boy/Girl Captain

Martyn was and still is a great batsmen. Who cares what he does in his private life, it's his choice.

Guys cheat on their wives/girlfriends all around the world, so what's so different about this incident, Martyn was a very good cricketer and that's all that really matters, and Corbin said why should anyone care what he does outside the cricket field.

Not surprised really, never respected Martyn much on a personal level. Nor did I think he was more than an average-good Test batsman, really, but I suppose that's by-the-by.

This thread, BTW, was in its first incarnation before my time - these days, a thread of that nature being bumped is a rarity. Well done for doing so me ol' howardj, rather than starting new topics.

I see its Damien Martyn that has split with his soon to be bride over a large amount of txt messaging to a young south african woman.

What is it with these guys? I think the ACB should ban cellphone use while Australia are touring overseas.
Argh I knew it, her phone wouldn't stop..

Speaking of Marto, is burr still around? I haven't seen her for a while but as CW's resident Marto groupie I'd be interested in her thoughts. That, and she's just a generally good poster.

8-) lighten up.

Of course there's an element of interest in what famous sportsmen do in their private life - it's human nature for people to have some degree of interest.

Oh I am glad we all have that sorted.

Richard thinks he is a **** and was an ordinary test cricketer.
