Yeah he’s well ahead of Viv.Nope
I think better than all rounder v specialist comparisonsYeah he’s well ahead of Viv.
Also once again bowler vs batsman comparison dumb.
I don’t think either are productive discussions tbh.I think better than all rounder v specialist comparisons
I would disagree here. There are legit instances in real life team selection where you have to choose between an all-rounder or a specialist. A choice between a batsman and bowler is seldom required.I think better than all rounder v specialist comparisons
Talking about difficulty of comparison, not relevance.I would disagree here. There are legit instances in real life team selection where you have to choose between an all-rounder or a specialist. A choice between a batsman and bowler is seldom required.
I am talking from a rather logical standpoint. Comparing Sachin and Kallis makes more sense than Sachin and McGrath to me.Talking about difficulty of comparison, not relevance.
Yeah that's a different point to what I meantI am talking from a rather logical standpoint. Comparing Sachin and Kallis makes more sense than Sachin and McGrath to me.
I think you have to look at the fit of the team rather than a direct comparison.I am talking from a rather logical standpoint. Comparing Sachin and Kallis makes more sense than Sachin and McGrath to me.
You have at times, but still it just makes more sense to me. You can directly comparing them in primary then think whether the boost of the secondary is enough to overcome that. Comparing bowlers and batsmen, in any way, is really hard.I think you have to look at the fit of the team rather than a direct comparison.
The balanced ARs im relation to specialists are the trickiest for me.For player comparisons, specialist v all rounder is more difficult.
Conveying the value of mild second disciplines is hard too. Akram's batting and Bobby Simpson's bowling. The balanced ARs im relation to specialists are the trickiest for me.
