It also has a lot to do with the lengths they bowl too. McGrath and Ambrose bowled a slightly shorter length so when they had those rare unpenetrative days, they were still very hard to get away. Steyn bowls a Fuller length on average to get the bats driving, which obviously makes him more likely to go for runs when he isn't tearing through a lineup.

Yea Athers has a point. It's a bit of both I guess. Overexposure and Steyn's general style of bowling.
